What is AMT?

AMT is a lesser-known substance with a psychedelic effect that falls into the tryptamine class of research chemicals.
The substance was first synthesized in the 1960s by Upjohn and was prescribed for a short time as an antidepressant in the Soviet Union. It was prescribed in small doses under the name Indopan.
The structure of tryptamine is similar to that of the amino acid tryptophan. Tryptamine is found in plants, mammals and humans.
In addition, tryptamine is the basic structure for the substituted tryptamines.
